
RFTA’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Plan is
focused on three primary goals:

Protection of the workforce

Protection of passengers
-
Continuity of service
SUMMARY OF CHANGES MADE TO MEET THESE GOALS:
- Fogging vehicles with virucide every day before service, and facilities regularly;
- Closing down the lobby and restroom in our primary transit station; closing all public restrooms;
- Instituting back door loading and deboarding for passengers,
- Created social distancing space for bus operators on buses;
- Instituted social distancing procedures within the buses for passengers and providing backup buses to handle the overflow when buses reached the social distancing limit on each bus;
- Suspending cash fare collection to minimize interactions between Bus Operators and passengers;
- Require use of PPE for both drivers and passengers;
- Creating daily check in procedures for employees; and
- Creating “sneeze” guard barriers for our drivers to allow front door loading and fare collection gain.
