RFTA is joining the regional BikeThere! Garfield County celebration on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, by hosting a station just north of the Carbondale Park & Ride on the Rio Grande Trail.
As part of the larger BikeThere! event happening in communities from Parachute to Aspen, RFTA invites cyclists, commuters, trail users, and community members to stop by the Carbondale Park & Ride BikeThere! Station from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. RFTA will provide free coffee, burritos, fruit, doughnuts, and RFTA swag while supplies last. Visitors can also learn more about the Slow & Say Hello! trail and street safety campaign, as well as the Rio Grande Trail Corridor.
BikeThere! Garfield County is a regional celebration of biking held on Colorado’s official Bike to Work Day. While biking to work may not be realistic for everyone, BikeThere! encourages people to bike somewhere—whether that’s to the bus stop, the grocery store, the library, a park, a friend’s house, or just for fun.
By hosting a station on the Rio Grande Trail, RFTA is proud to support a regional event that encourages active transportation, helps reduce congestion in our valley corridors, and celebrates biking as a healthy, sustainable way to get around.
