Bike Loading Starts April 6 – Bikes Now Welcome at All Stops

Starting April 6, RFTA will unlock bike racks on buses, providing an easy way for riders to combine biking and bus travel. Through mid-November, bikes can be loaded from 6 am to 7:30 pm. Whether you’re commuting or exploring, bike racks on buses make it simple to take your bike along for the journey.

Key Details:

  • Free Bike Loading: Bike loading is free of charge, with no fare required.
  • First-Come, First-Served: Bike racks are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the racks are full, you may need to wait for the next bus or lock your bike at the stop.
  • E-Bikes Allowed: E-bikes under 75 pounds are welcome. However, fat bikes, bike trailers, and cargo bikes are not permitted.
  • New for 2026: We have expanded our bike loading stops! Riding and rolling is easier than ever, now that bike loading is available at all stops serviced by these regional routes:

Note: Bike loading is not available on City of Aspen, Ride Glenwood, and Carbondale Circulator routes. Signage is currently being replaced at stops and may not yet reflect these updates.
