Seniors and disabled individuals unable to use regular bus service may be eligible for ADA Paratransit service within the city limits of Aspen and Glenwood Spring. This program is provided under the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This program is open to those who have disabilities in these categories:
- Persons unable to board, ride or exit a wheelchair lift equipped bus.
- Persons who do not have access to an RFTA bus with a wheelchair lift.
- Persons whose disability does not allow them to travel to and from the stop.
Pitkin County Senior Van
Pitkin County Senior Services runs a lunch program each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. RFTA vans provide transportation to lunch at the Pitkin County Senior Services Building. To make arrangements or for more information call (970) 920-5432
Garfield County - The Traveler
The Traveler provides transit services to the seniors and disabled community in Garfield County. Call 945-9117 in the Glenwood Springs area or 625-1366 in the Rifle area for transit services. Reservations for meal sites in Garfield County can also be made at these same numbers. A TTY-TDD system is available for the hearing impaired at 1-800-659-3656.
