Bridgework on the Rio Grande Trail – Trail Delays Expected
Bridge deck repair will take place on the Roaring Fork and Emma/Sopris Creek Bridges on the Rio Grande Trail
ROARING FORK BRIDGE
As of April 25th, all of the major deck replacement work on the Roaring Fork Bridge outside of Carbondale will be complete and full use of the trail is back to normal.
EMMA/SOPRIS CREEK BRIDGE
Crews will return to the Emma Bridge later this summer to begin the substructure/channel work when high water recedes.
As of May 27th, work on the replacement of the Wingo Bridge deck will be complete and full use of the trail is back to normal.
Trail riders can expect delays up to 10 minutes and the work to last about one month. Please use caution when passing through the area and follow all detours and flaggers.
