BUS OPERATORS - RFTA is accepting applications for 2014-2015 winter seasonal drivers.  We have both CDL and Non-CDL Bus Operator positions available and offer CDL training for applicants who lack a CDL Class B, with P2 endorsement.  CDL training classes begin October 1st and we will offer additional classes through our hiring season as needed.  For more information, please call Hiring Manager, Ron Thiering at 970-384-4882.

Requirements
· Safe motor vehicle record, with at least five (5) years of driving experience
· Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screening
· Ability to demonstrate physical requirements of the job (see job description)
· Ability and willingness to work ANY shift assigned including days, nights, weekends, holidays, split-shifts with shifts starting in either Aspen or Glenwood
· For applicants living outside the RFTA service zone, we HIGHLY encourage you to rent/share a seasonal unit

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks
· Starting rate for Non-CDL Drivers is $17.81/hour
· Starting rate for CDL Drivers is $18.00/hour
· Overtime frequently available
· End of Season Bonus starts at $1,000 and increases each consecutive season worked: Second Season: $1,500, Third Season: $2,000, Fourth Season (max): $2,500
· Other bonus programs currently under review
· Health benefit to be determined, valued at $1,000 per season
· Free bus pass for employees and dependents (spouses, children living at home 18 and under)
· Four-Mountain Ski Pass or $350 cash bonus payable at end of season
· Employee Housing at Burlingame in Aspen, and some availability in Carbondale
· Free gym membership at Midland Fitness in Glenwood and New Castle Fitness Center (currently approved through 12/31/2014, extension into 2015 under review)
· Discounted membership at the Glenwood Springs Community Center, Basalt Fitness, and Aspen Recreation Center
· Opportunity to apply for promotion to year-round employment at the end of the winter season
